Senior Data Engineer at Bloomberg | Data & Machine Learning Engineering Leader | Data Products, AI & Scientific Computing | Ph.D. in Oceanography

About

Multidisciplinary technical leader with experience spanning data engineering, machine learning, scientific computing, financial market data, and large-scale operational environments. I build data products and analytical systems that turn complex, high-volume data into reliable workflows, decision-support tools, and business value.

At Bloomberg LP, I lead cross-functional initiatives across data engineering, machine learning, data management, and product development, supporting financial-market workflows across energy, macroeconomics, fixed income, equities, and commodities. My work combines technical depth with product thinking: understanding the problem, designing scalable solutions, coordinating stakeholders, and taking systems into production.

My career began in physics and physical oceanography, where I developed expertise in time-series analysis, statistical modeling, signal processing, remote sensing, numerical modeling, and complex systems. I have since applied those skills to financial markets, machine learning, data platforms, software engineering, and business problems.

I am particularly interested in problems at the intersection of science, data, technology, and human decision-making, and in helping teams turn research and emerging technologies into useful, production-grade systems.
